Why do DKs jump so much when attacking?

Is this supposed to imply something? I thought they were unstoppable undead juggernaughts. Why leap? They’re supposed to have ungodly strength.

Does it bother any else? If I were a gnome, maybe. But I’m a Kul Tiran DK. I’m towering over people. And I have to Oberyn Martell my kills? Why?

to let gravity do the work required to snap you in half

Cause they can.

But why don’t warriors?

Cause they have leap.

But that should mean they’re MORE inclined to jump-kill

because I don’t need external assistance to snap you in half

Can you even attack while leaping?

Everytime you jump and attack you get a critical.

The same reason rogues and cat druids all do that side-to-side strafe-dance when fighting you.

I refer to that dance as “The reason I don’t play melee DPS”

My Gnome DK jumps a lot, but with the exception of death strike my BE tends to squat a bit.

When you jump or do the strafe dance it reduces the global cool down by 150 milliseconds.

edit: IN hunter it increases crit chance by 15%, these are all hidden modifiers of course.

Bunny hopping always annoyed me.

See…I mean to each their own but stuff like this I find exhausting.

On the Alliance, I could only ever play Human or KT. The other races have such weird animations. The Worgen flip. FLIP! DKs do not flip. There’s no flipping in undeath.

Very happy to not be alone on this. I find hopping acceptable in two situations: avoiding gopher holes while trail running; throwing a ball in from the outfield.

Gnome DK animations are the best.

I’ll be honest, that’s the best pitch for gnome DK I’ve ever seen.

This depends on context.

You can’t attack while leaping, at least, not in the traditional sense. But if you collide hitboxes with someone else while transitioning through the air, yes. You can hit them.

In other words, if you leap after someone and charge upon entering range, you will charge out of the air, canceling your leap, and connect. Similarly, if you land on top of them, you can execute before your feet hit the ground because your hitbox has collided with them.

We take the-ground-is-lava very seriously.

They’re filled with the power of Icecrown, so everything else is super hot and burns their sensitive little feet :stuck_out_tongue:
