Local elections  took place on Thursday 2nd May 2019.

Abingdon Town Council Following the elections the ruling group on the Council are the Liberal Democrats.  The political composition of the Council in terms of numbers of Councillors, is as follows:

Liberal Democrat - 18 (+10)

Green - 1 (+1)

Conservative - 0 (-10)

Independent - 0 (-1)

By law the Councillors elected on 2nd May will take office on Tuesday 7th May. The Town Councillor pages will be updated that day.

The Councillors elected will serve for the next four years, until May 2023.

Vale of White Horse District Council Following the elections the ruling group on the Council are the Liberal Democrats. In Abingdon 10 Councillors were elected to represent the town, of which 9 are Liberal Democrat and 1 Green. The detailed results by area (ward) may be found by clicking here.
