DescriptionThis is a professional doctorate consisting of a combination of coursework units and thesis.
Admission requirements(a) a recognised Bachelor of Laws degree with first or upper second class honours; or a recognised Master of Laws degree with an average mark of 65 per cent or greater; or a recognised Bachelor of Laws degree and demonstrated adequate research preparation, either as part of a degree course, in the course of an occupation since graduation, or by satisfactory completion of an acceptable preliminary course; and (b) the equivalent of at least two years' professional experience in law. Applicants with qualifications from overseas institutions where English is not the medium of instruction must provide evidence of English language competency (see http://www.studyat.uwa.edu.au/10222). Applicants whose first language is not English, but who hold degrees from institutions where English is the medium of instruction, may be required to provide further evidence of English language competency.
