As you've probably heard, the 2011-2019 television series Suits is currently dominating the Netflix charts. And it's likely because of this public fascination with legal drama that people have started talking about the little-known actress Meghan Markle. And as it turns out, she's got a fascinating life.

Did you know that the actress best known for her role as Rachel Zane has been married to an English prince since 2018? Crazy, right? It's wild that nobody talks about this.

Clearly, we're kidding. At this point, it's fair to say that nearly every soul still shuffling about in the Western world knows who Meghan Markle is, and it's probably also reasonable to say that far too many of them have extreme opinions about her. But while this fascination can be, at times, toxic, it also means that the Duchess of Sussex is swiftly becoming the most documented historical figure since Napoleon Bonaparte.

One such small story that recently resurfaced dates back to when Meghan and Prince Harry were first dating, while Markle was still starring on Suits (seriously, though, is watching Suits, for the younger generation, like what it was like to be an 80s kid who caught Bedtime for Bonzo or Knute Rockne, All American on TV back in the day?).

SheFinds.com kicks off its coverage of the reemerged Markle anecdote by noting that:

"We already know that Meghan Markle wasn’t allowed to wear her first choice of tiara for her and Prince Harry's royal wedding back in 2018 – but there is reportedly another piece of jewelry that she wasn’t allowed to wear either!"

So what was the first forbidden accessory in Meghan Markle's ensemble? As it turns out, it was a sweet, sentimental gift from Harry:

"According to Finding Freedom by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, Prince Harry, 38, had a $300 14-carat gold chain by Maya Brenne made for Meghan with 'M' and 'H' charms on it when they were newly dating."

But not long after Harry gave Meghan the gift, she received a call from Prince Harry's aide, described as "uncomfortable." Markle was told not to wear the necklace publicly in the call, as it would "...only served to encourage the photographers to keep pursuing such images—and new headlines."

Which, we have to admit, was some great advice. Sure, Markle was "frustrated and emotional" when she first got the call. Still, you have to admit: Markle didn't wear the necklace, and that's why the press has famously never tried to photograph her since and has completely respected her privacy ever since.
