EpiGear Home

The EpiGear website is a repository for a number of tools that can be used for epidemiological and health economic modeling. These tools were developed by Dr. Jan J Barendregt who died on 3 June 2017.

The good news is that all of these tools are free and ready for download. However, following Jan’s death, Epigear will no longer provide updates of the software or any other direct technical support. An exception to this will be for the MetaXL software (see MetaXL).
 

Why free?

All software hosted on this website was developed by Jan as part of his employment with several  organizations that received public funding. Jan requested in his will that all software developed by him be made freely available. This request was in keeping with his principles: given that these tools were funded by public money, it is only fair that they be made publicly available for free.
