The Scriptures

Is Jesus, not the Bible, the Word (or word) of God? Why do we need a perfect Bible, when we have a perfect Savior? Just Jesus, not the Bible. Such questions and statements are becoming more commonplace as more people attack the written word of God. Evangelist Randy Keener offers irrefutable insights – from history and from the Bible, on this matter. Almost all, or maybe all, English versions of the Bible are based upon the Greek Wescott and Hort Greek translation. If you don’t use the King James Bible, you are probably relying on a Wescott Hort translation. They rejected the infallibility of Scripture; their Greek text makes God a created god; their English version teaches universal salvation; they declared that hell is a place for departed spirits; etc. See, e.g.,  Wescott and Hort: Translator’s beliefs (Complied and commented by David J. Stewart | January 2011 | Updated October 2016). See also, Theosophy, The Church and Lucifer Worship, The New World Order and the Tower of Babel, A Coming One World Religious View.

I highly recommend this book. The scant criticisms I have read are thinly veiled attacks by those who have been deceived and cannot receive truth, by those whom the book exposes. I recommend reading this book in conjunction with The Two Babylons by Alexander Hislop. Excerpt from pp. 52-55 of  The Two Babylons: All tradition from the earliest times bears testimony to the apostacy of Nimrod, and to his success in leading men away from the patriarchal faith, and delivering their minds from that awe of God and fear of the judgments of heaven that must have rested on them while yet the memory of the flood was recent. And according to all the principles of depraved human nature, this too, no doubt, was one grand element in his fame; for men will readily rally around any one who can give the least appearance of plausibility to any doctrine which will teach that they can be assured of happiness and heaven at last, though their hearts and natures are unchanged, and though they live without God in the world.
How great was the boon conferred by Nimrod on the human race, in the estimation of ungodly men, by emancipating them from the impressions of true religion, and putting the authority of heaven to a distance from them, we find most vividly described in a Polynesian tradition, that carries its own evidence with it. John Williams, the well known missionary, tells us that, according to one of the ancient traditions of the islanders of the South Seas, “the heavens were originally so close to the earth that men could not walk, but were compelled to crawl” under them. “This was found a very serious evil; but at length an individual conceived the sublime idea of elevating the heavens to a more convenient height. For this purpose he put forth his utmost energy, and by the first effort raised them to the top of a tender plant called teve, about four feet high. There he deposited them until he was refreshed, when, by a second effort, he lifted them to the height of a tree called Kauariki, which is as large as the sycamore. By the third attempt he carried them to the summits of the mountains; and after a long interval of repose, and by a most (p. 53) prodigious effort, he elevated them to their present situation.” For this, as a mighty benefactor of mankind, “this individual was deified; and up to the moment that Christianity was embraced, the deluded inhabitants worshipped him as the ‘Elevator of the heavens.'” Now, what could more graphically describe the position of mankind soon after the flood, and the proceedings of Nimrod as Phoroneus, “The Emancipator,” * than this Polynesian fable? * The bearing of this name, Phoroneus, “The Emancipator,” will be seen in Chapter III, Section I, “Christmas,” where it is shown that slaves had a temporary emancipation at his birthday. While the awful catastrophe by which God had showed His avenging justice on the sinners of the old world was yet fresh in the minds of men, and so long as Noah, and the upright among his descendants, sought with all earnestness to impress upon all under their control the lessons which that solemn event was so well fitted to teach, “heaven,” that is, God, must have seemed very near to earth. To maintain the union between heaven and earth, and to keep it as close as possible, must have been the grand aim of all who loved God and the best interests of the human race. But this implied the restraining and discountenancing of all vice and all those “pleasures of sin,” after which the natural mind, unrenewed and unsanctified, continually pants. This must have been secretly felt by every unholy mind as a state of insufferable bondage. “The carnal mind is enmity against God,” is “not subject to His law,” neither indeed is “able to be” so. It says to the Almighty, “Depart from us, for we desire not the knowledge of Thy ways.” So long as the influence of the great father of the new world was in the ascendant, while his maxims were
regarded, and a holy atmosphere surrounded the world, no wonder that those who were alienated from God and godliness, felt heaven and its influence and authority to be intolerably near, and that in such circumstances they “could not walk,” but only “crawl,”–that is, that they had no freedom to “walk after the sight of their own eyes and the imaginations of their own hearts.”
From this bondage Nimrod emancipated them. By the apostacy he introduced, by the free life he developed among those who rallied around him, and by separating them from the holy influences that had previously less or more controlled them, he helped them to put God and the strict spirituality of His law at a distance, and thus he became the “Elevator of the heavens,” making men feel and act as if heaven were afar off from earth, and as if either the God of heaven “could not see through the dark cloud,” or did not regard with displeasure the breakers of His laws. Then all such would feel that they could breathe freely, and that now they could walk at liberty. For this, such men could not but regard Nimrod as a high benefactor.
Now, who could have imagined that a tradition from Tahiti would have illuminated the story of
Atlas? But yet, when Atlas, bearing the heavens on his shoulders, is brought into juxtaposition
with the deified hero of the South Seas, who blessed the world by heaving up the
superincumbent heavens that pressed so heavily upon it, who does not see that the one story
bears a relation to the other? *
     * In the Polynesian story the heavens and earth are said to have been “bound
together with cords,” and the “severing” of these cords is said to have been
effected by myriads of “dragon-flies,” which, with their “wings,” bore an
important share in the great work. (WILLIAMS) Is there not here a reference to
Nimrod’s `63 “mighties” or “winged ones”? The deified “mighty ones” were often
represented as winged serpents. See WILKINSON, vol. iv. p. 232,

apostacy of Nimrod broke the covenant, and in casting off the authority of God,
did in effect say, “Let us break His bands asunder, and cast His cords from us.”
To this very act of severing the covenant connection between earth and heaven
there is very distinct allusion, though veiled, in the Babylonian history of Berosus.
There Belus, that is Nimrod, after having dispelled the primeval darkness, is said
to have separated heaven and earth from one another, and to have orderly
arranged the world. (BEROSUS, in BUNSEN) These words were intended to
represent Belus as the “Former of the world.” But then it is a new world that he
forms; for there are creatures in existence before his Demiurgic power is exerted.

** IVAN and KALLERY, in their account of Japan, show that a similar story to
that of Atlas was known there, for they say that once a day the Emperor “sits on
his throne upholding the world and the empire.” Now something like this came to
be added to the sto

Why did they make the New King James?

Evangelist Caleb Hickam of Charity Baptist Tabernacle of Amarillo, TX  teaches on the King James Bible only issue:

What is Scripture? October 30, 2022. Does “Scripture” refer to only the original manuscripts or does it refer to the Word of God? Is the King James Bible Scripture?  What does the book of Isaiah teach us about the Word of God? For one thing, it teaches us how to study Scripture. What the Bible teaches about some chapters of Isaiah being authored by someone besides Isaiah. The 66 chapters of Isaiah correspond with the 66 books of the Bible. Etc. This is a very enligntening teaching.

Modern Bible translations still come under attack from the King James Only camp. In this revision of a book continually in print for more than ten years, James R. White traces the development of Bible translations old and new, investigating the differences between versions like the NIV, NASB, and NKJV and the Authorized Version of 1611. Written with the layperson in mind, The King James Only Controversy leads the reader through the basic issues of the debate and into the more complex issues of textual criticism. Enlightening reading for all Christians.

They’ve been successfully used by others who have shared them on Facebook tens of thousands of times to quickly and graphically communicate their unshakable faith in the supremacy of the King James Bible. And they’ll do the same for you.Drawn from over 30 years of research into the Bible version controversy, these cleverly designed memes with their killer headlines and well researched arguments expose the defects in modern Bible versions.

The funny thing is that hardly anyone ever considers the opinion of the Lord Jesus Christ. Don’t you think he has a preference? Which Bible Would Jesus Use? proves that he does. And you can depend upon him to pick the “right one.” Which one would he use? The evidence shows that it’s the same brand he’s been using for the past 400 years. Once you know for sure which Bible the Lord has already chosen and why, you’ll never again have any doubts about “which Bible” is truly God’s Bible. And you’ll be able to convince others once you’ve shown them… • Why the Lord Jesus Christ would never use the ESV because of the known errors (admitted by experts) inserted into the text in Matthew 1:7, 8, & 10. • Why the Lord wouldn’t carry the NASB to church with him because of the known errors (admitted by experts) inserted into the text in John 7:8-10 and because of the way it refers to him in John 1:18. • Why the Lord couldn’t use the NIV, ESV, or the NASB because of the known geography error (admitted by experts) inserted into the text in Luke 4:44. • Why the Lord can’t use the NIV, ESV, or the NASB because of the known error (admitted by experts) inserted into the text in Mark 1:2. • Why the Lord is hurt by how his character is besmirched in Mark 1:41 in the NIV and would never, ever use it. • Why the Lord wouldn’t bring the NKJV into church with him because of how it undermines the historical integrity of his words in English. They’ll stop laughing at your faith in the written words of God when you quickly and easily answer other questions like:•What about the thousands of differences between the 1769 edition and the first edition in 1611? •What about the differences between King James Bibles printed by the Oxford and Cambridge University Presses?Tough issues are explained like: Why the Lord didn’t preserve the original autographs, which doctrines are affected by modern translations and lots more.Three chapters deal with the important topic of Inspiration of Scripture––you’ll learn what it is, what it isn’t, what scholars used to say it was and what they say it is now. You’ll find out who changed the definition of inspiration and when they changed it. And more importantly, you’ll discover why they changed it.You can finally have peace of mind knowing in your heart you were right all along to believe in the King James Bible. That’s because Which Bible Would Jesus Use? gives you answers to the biggest, nastiest, and most annoying objections you get when defending the words of the Lord as they appear on the pages of the King James Bible. Now when you hear the same old, childish comments, you’ll quietly and confidently chuckle. You’ll feel sorry for those who don’t have a Bible they can believe in. But you won’t be upset anymore. You’ll be able to feed the sincere with answers to their legitimate questions.

Only the King James Bible is a word for word translation. Until the new versions started appearing, beginning with the Revised Version in 1881, The KJB was the only English Bible. The KJB was the only version in the American colonial period and the early history of America up until 1881. Until well into the 1900s, the KJB was the predominant version used by believers in America. Satan has done a good job on this front, and that has now changed.

The KJB was the version those dissenters in the colonies relied upon in their spiritual warfare which led to the adoption of the First Amendment. See, The History and Meaning of the First Amendment; An Abridged History of the First Amendment; The Trail of Blood of the Martyrs of Jesus …. By studying the KJB, those dissenters came to knowledge of the truth and the false theologies of the colonial establishments. The KJB sustained them in their spritual warfare and persecutions by the Puritan and Anglican colonial establishments. Therefore, the Churches under Christ Ministry relies upon the KJB in the spiritual warfare concerning church organization according to God’s Word.

All an English speaking believer needs in his Bible study is a KJB and an 1828 Webster’s Dictionary. That dictionary defined the English words used in the KJB. I followed a Bible teacher for many years who declared the KJB to be the word of God. Nonetheless, he would, at times, go to the Greek or Hebrew to define a word in the KJB. I started going to the Webster’s 1828 Dictionary when he did so.  Webster’s 1828, in every instance I checked, defined the word the same as did the Greek or Hebrew. Not only that, one can, through a KJB Genesis to Revelation study of a topic or word define the word and give a consistent clarification of the topic. The KJB defines itself. This is true of none of the counterfeits.

Here are a couple of other thoughts on the matter. Unlike all other versions, the language of the KJB has important nuances. For example, “thee” and “thou” are singular and “ye” and “you” are plural; this is very important in understanding some verses and passages of Scripture.  Furthermore, the King James Bible is written on a fifth or sixth grade level. I once interviewed children in a church I was a member of; a church where all the parents homeschooled; a church that believed that the KJB was the Word of God in English. I asked a six year old girl if she read her Bible. She said, “Yes.” I asked her what her favoite book in the Bible was. She said, “Revelation.” I asked her if she would turn to Revelation and read some Scripture, which she did, and very well.

The Bible (The Berean Call)

Martyr’s Song by Watchmen

This page should have been added long ago. I am starting it on May 28, 2015. The underlying authority for all my writings, audio teaching, preaching, teaching, and living is the word of God, the KJB. That is the way it has been since I was saved.

I have heard, over the years, some ridiculous attacks on the King James Bible. The unlearned can be easily misled. Recently I came across a Youtube video claiming the KJB is a Masonic Bible. I listened to a few minutes of it and realized how ridiculous it was.

The word of God proved itself to me as soon as I was saved. Of course, I did not know much about the doctrines of the word of God even though I took Bible, Old and New Testament, as elective courses in high school. However, I had come to believe the doctrine of repentance and faith, and I was saved through repentance toward (turning to God) and putting my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. By the way, faith is not a work (Romans 4.5). I was immediately changed. I was a new creature regenerated, a born again child of God. I had a new purpose – to glorify God. I had a new nature. I no longer wanted the same things as before. I sinned, but did not wallow in sin. When I sinned, the Holy Spirit convicted me of my sin. And I could go on.

One thing that had lingered with me since being a small child was the impression made on me by an uncle and aunt who were saved. I seldom saw them after the age of 5, but I remembered the obvious difference between them and others I came in contact with as I went through life; they were different in a good way. Their testimony which I heard after becoming an adult showed that they were very different from before their salvation. Salvation brought an immediate change in them as it did in me.

After I was born again of the spirit, the Lord began to turn my life around. When I got into church, I became hungry and thirsty for the word of God. I no longer wanted to drink, go to social parties, and so forth. The church I was a member of became my place for fellowship and spiritual growth. In other words, the KJB proved itself to me on a deep spiritual level. That is all I need to satisfy myself that the KJB is the word of God.

Since being saved, I have heard and read much teaching on the KJB versus other “translations” issue. Why was this important? Because the issue is so prominent to believers and to non-believers. Nothing is more important than the integrity of the word of God. I had some friends whom I believe were also born again, but who did not use the KJB. I even went to church with one or two of them just a couple of times. Even though I believe they were saved, I saw that they were not being well fed. I saw that their churches did not seem to have the power of the church I went to. Later, when I started intensely studying the Bible, I learned the reasons for these things, and the reasons for the attacks on the KJB. The downward spiral of heresy, apostasy, and immorality among “Christians” in America who use “interpetations” and not the KJB has confirmed and continues to confirm what the Lord taught me – that the KJB is the word of God.

I could have already filled this page with a wealth of resources which I have come across over the years and which prove to any believer who will honestly search for the truth about the matter that the KJB is the word of God in English. I am starting out with a little and will add to this page as I have time.

To begin this page, let me start with a simple question. If you skirt it, you are not looking for the truth about this matter. Is there a word of God in English? If so, what is it? Is it the ASB, the NKJV, the NIV, The Living Bible, etc., or is it the KJB? There can only be one word of God. All the “translations” are very different. Either one of them is the word of God, or none of them is the word of God in English. There can only be one word for word translation, thereby rendering all the others “interpretations” written to uphold the beliefs of the author(s). If you say only the originals are the word of God, then there is no word of God because there are no originals.

Is God able to preserve his word?  “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever” (Psalms 12:6-7). Are those verses in your “Bible?” They are in my KJB.

Jeremiah 35-36 gives a great example of God’s destroyed words being rewritten. The originals were destroyed but the Lord rewrote them through Jeremiah, and the Lord even added more words. There are no originals for one to go to. That is no problem for God. When the king destroyed the words God gave Jeremiah, God gave those words to Jeremiah again. God has the ability, and has used his ability to preserve his words in the King James Bible.

Speaking to Timothy, through Paul the apostle, God said:

“And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

The Bible, Old and New Testaments, in the originals contained words from a few languages. Those words were preserved and rewritten. God promised to preserve his word, not the originals. Read all of 2 Timothy 3 and 4. Those who deny the authority of the word of God do not have the power of God. They have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof; believers who are seeking the truth are to turn away from such people (2 Timothy 3:5). Yes, we are to offer them the truth, but when they reject truth (God’s word) we are told to turn away from them. This can bring sorrow and grief, especially if they are family or friend, but believers are to obey God.

Have you ever noticed that on the day of Pentecost they spoke in other tongues and people from different nations heard them in their own tongue (language)? Several languages were spoken at the same time, to people from diverse nations.

“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:4).

“And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born” (Acts 2:7-8).

That, my friend, was an great example of the awesome power of God, the only God, the God who controls life, nature, and all things. God can communicate in every tongue in pure words. He can preserve his word in any language. This is no hard task for the infinite God. One will never be able to convince me that such a God did not give us his word in English. Much evidence of things unseen convinces me that the KJB is God’s word in English.

Because we now have the word of God in English, speaking in other languages serves no purpose. The word of God is available in many languages. Speaking in tongues serves no purpose. Before I was saved, a lady who spoke English would come to my photography studio and start speaking in tongues. In hindsight, I believe she was a devout Charismatic. I did not offend her, but I saw the utter foolishness of her actions. She could have spoken to me so that I could have understood her. And by the way, should God wish me to speak in an unknown tongue, he could supernaturally perform it. Tongues were a gift.

NIVSatanGaySexOne cannot, from an honest understanding of the Bible, conclude that tongues is required as evidence of salvation. Nor can one depend upon his feelings or some type of supernatural experience as evidence of salvation. The Bible makes clear what is required for salvation (see God’s Plan of Salvation for Bible instructions on how to be saved) and what one’s responsibilities are after salvation (see After Salvation)(See also, Repentance, the new creature, the new life, and changed behavior for many Bible verses and other resources which explain repentance and the new creature which results from salvation.)

The Old Testament is authenticated by New Testament scriptures, too numerous to be listed here.

The Lord pre-authenticated the New Testament:

    1. He expressly declared that He would leave “many things” unrevealed (John 16:12).
    1. He promised that this revelation should be completed (“all things”) after the Spirit should come, and that such additional revelation should include new prophecies (John 16:1-33).
    1. He chose certain persons to receive such additional revelations, and to be His witnesses to them Matthew 28:19; John 15:27; 16:13; Acts 1:8; 9:15-17.
  1. He gave to their words when speaking for Him in the Spirit precisely the same authority as His own. Matthew 10:14-15; Luke 10:16; John 13:20; 17:20; see e.g. 1 Corinthians 14:37; Exodus 4:15; Revelation 22:19; Deuteronomy 4.1-2; Proverbs 30.5-6.

The Lord prayed:

    • “For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me” (John 17:8).
    • “I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world” (John 17:14).
  • “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” (John 17:17).

I was at a church service where the pastor used his “Bible” as he preached. His Bible was made up of the KJB on one side and an interpretation (another “Bible” version) on the other. Sometimes he read from the KJV, sometimes from the other. I noticed in my KJB that the verses he read from the other “Bible” were different. He chose the one he liked the best. In other words, to him, there was no word of God. Utter confusion. Total heresy. No wonder many American “churches” are nothing more than social clubs or nightclubs.

One thought on “King James Bible”

  1. Why which bible you use is CRITICAL:

Lucifer comes from the word Lucent, Meaning light… but he is the false light.
Isaiah 14:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Revelation 22:16 King James Version (KJV)

16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Now let’s see what Isaiah 14:12 says in false doctrine-

Isaiah 14:12 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

12 “How you have fallen from heaven,
O [a]star of the morning, son of the dawn!
You have been cut down to the earth,
You who have weakened the nations!

    Footnotes:

Isaiah 14:12 Heb Helel; i.e. shining one

Isaiah 14:12 New International Version (NIV)

12 How you have fallen from heaven,
morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth,
you who once laid low the nations!

They are literally calling Lucifer the morning star!!!
Check your alternative versions against the true KJV. Then you begin to see why the other versions even exist.

The local church sanctified and cleansed by the washing of water by the word——————–A ministry of Charity Baptist Tabernacle of Amarillo, Texas led by Pastor Ben Hickam. "Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ" (2 Corinthians 11:1-3). ————————————Jerald Finney, a Christian Lawyer and member of Charity Baptist Tabernacle, having received this ministry in the Lord, explains how a church in America can remain under the Lord Jesus Christ and Him only. "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen" (1 Peter 4:10-11; See also, Ephesians 4::1-16 and 1 Corinthians 12:1-25). "Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it" (Colossians 4:17). "And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church" (Ephesians 1.22; See also, e.g. Colossians 1:18).
