World first race was a mess honestly, then we have a big raid with a very short tier. For comparison SoD was up for 245 days, CN was up for 211 days. This one will have been up for 147 days. Which is about 1.5 months shorter. I would of honestly scrapped season 4 maybe, or released it in September given it’s going to be a pointless tier to begin with. Given this is just demoralizing to see, as my guild will get the jailer down before this. Yet others that either haven’t started, or in the case of mine just getting to about the halfway point with prog. Will more than likely not be able to clear or reclear the raid to get everyone CE.
I know the blue post mentioned nerfs, yet they literally would have to nerf the last three to basically be like half a step above heroic to even remotely inflate or grant guilds and players the chance and time to push for CE and reclear. This just was all around bad, and way too short for an 11 boss raid honestly.
I mean I agree, they should of been less than 200 days, given each one was essentially 2/3 of a year. Yet they then made SotFO’s drastically harder in comparison to CN and SoD, given this raid had a ton of mechanics that everyone had to deal with. Over previous versions to where you could have set people deal with them. All while making for a very short tier for such a big raid.
I don’t know why anyone would want a shorter raid tier. They put you through psychopathic grating hell and misery to get the items, and then you want the items to be vendor trash right away same month? I would like to sit on a set for years if they would let me.
Yeah, player retention made it hard for my guild to get AOTC and I think we won’t make it this season because of the shorter time. We finally just got our first attempts on the jailor last week.
Being July it naturally means some people will be gone for vacations so we have 2-3 tries left at him and I honestly do not think that’s enough.
I love grinding, it is why I want the STR. Raiding is not grinding. The items have absolutely no application in the raids. The RWF guilds are selling CE titles 5 per lockout now, which means you can reliably kill all the bosses in ZM gear. The STR is for grinding efficiency outside the raid.
What else does the raids drops but main stat upgrades? Achievements? Who cares. It’s all a big racket to let RMT organizations hold grinding efficiency over people’s heads.
They continue to deny it, but to me it is so obvious that they intended for Anduin to be the last boss of this tier. Not only is he tuned to be a final boss (with a cinematic after his death…) but the final 3 bosses just come out of nowhere in terms of the theme.
It was a rushed mess. It’s a shame because I was really enjoying the initial few bosses, it felt like AQ modernized.
I’m pretty exhausted with M+ metas. So I was wanting to get back into raiding, but I don’t think this is the tier to do it.
I feel like they should’ve held on to S4 a bit longer just in case they find something they have to work on for DF which would push back the release date.
I mean their backed into a corner now, I think they can at least delay the first expansion by a month after it’s intended release date. Yet they have to progress shadowlands into the endgame now if they want to meet the deadline. Currently however we still have no alpha or beta, so it’s to be seen what does and doesn’t happen.
